Of course they'll keep Denver TK (Training Kingdom, Temporary Knowledge, Training Kenter, make up your own). It's got Boeing 737-300/500 sims along with those nifty fixed sims for the procedures training.

No sense in getting rid of sims for airplanes that you're only parking temporarily!

I did find it funny that this also went on to say that Jeff actually showed up with 2 guys, dressed in suits that stood in the back of the room/doorway during this entire meeting held at a local hotel in IAH (From what he said, it was CAL/UAL School House people there). When Jeff was done with his horse-n-pony show, the two gentlemen 'escorted' him out when he left....don't remember "Frank" ran around with his own muscle/posse
That's also what we were told at the fall check airman meeting. As far as the suits, he usually has Mark Moran in tow to answer operations questions.

Interesting how they're worried about keeping a few sims up and running, but a blizzard can shut down ALL of ORD, cancelling THOUSANDS of flights, but we're going to shut down our ops in IAH and move to ORD since it's more "effective" for us (rather than keep a split ops???).......hmmmmmmmmm, I guess I just don't get the big picture.

You didn't hear? The new United plans on duplicating a bunker like they have north of IAH, but this time in Chicago. When the Oprah show ends, they are going to use her studio and building.

Don't bother applying unless you have an absolutely perfect attendance record, are a former FMR/RJ check airman or a former squadron commander and have spent the last six months sucking up to someone in Flt Ops management .

I heard they're moving all training down to Luke AFB. They're putting the fatty sims next to the F-16 sims so all the airline clowns can see how real pilots fly.

scrapdog,

Why go through all that trouble to move those sims. There are plenty of nice close up short subject HUD movies of "real pilots" flying the F-16. Most have even included a "pointer" to highlight the "real pilot" in action.

First one to the white board wins.

Nah, if they were going to do that they'd have to move them to Oceana or Lemoore and show the AF to airline clowns how real aviators operate.
