Nonetheless, your job was still valuable. Especially since you gave up a higher paying job to come to UAL. Hopefully, we can get this thing done and get you all back on property. I know I speak harshly sometimes, but I won't be picking up any open time until you all return. My gripe is not with you.I just want to preserve my pre-merger QoL as a gainfully employed pilot.

Milton-

Is that your real name? If so I don't think I've ever seen a real name here. Kinda strange. Either way, welcome to the food fight, I mean carefully worded professional discourse!

Out of curiosity, any idea what CAL's daily aircraft utilization is? UAL was 10:50 a day in the 3rd qtr. Seems like we still have a lot of capacity out there as well. Oh well, it is what it is... I digress and slump back into my mash potatoes.....

From the T & P A:

In each consecutive six (6) month period during separate operations beginning on the Merger Closing Date, the ratio of aircraft block hours
scheduled to be flown by United to the aircraft block hours scheduled to be flown by Continental, will equal or exceed ninety percent (90%) of the same ratio for the same six (6) month period during the period May 1, 2009 through April 30, 2010 (excluding United’s 737 scheduled aircraft block hours during the period May 1, 2009 through April 30, 2010). The applicable scheduled aircraft block hours for the period May 1, 2009 through April 30, 2010 are shown in Attachment C.

KC-

Pop in "Office Space", grab a few cold ones, and by the movies end you should have a better understanding as to 'who' Milton Waddams is

Enjoy!

Never knew that character had a last name, he sure did like his stapler though.

Don't take my moniker too seriously. I just liked the movie and saw the irony in the character. I enjoy reading APC because of the various perspectives from both airlines. The discourse on here is much better than over on some other boards like flightinfo.

I have no idea what CAL's daily utilization is, but it might be in the 10K. Not sure.

I look forward to 5 years from now when hopefully all of this is behind us and we are one cohesive group with tons of movement (due to retirements and growth).

For now you can temporarily claim they are your routes. This is One Company now and at some point in time in the not too distant future it will be all under one certificate which means these are not "yours" but "all of ours". How many more 777s have to be delivered before the wide body count is actually equal? 67 and that is using CAL math including 767s

One more thing, how long will your 787 crews be sitting before getting requalled on previous equipment since the 787 program has suddenly ground to a halt? The early version of any new plane is usually a POS. Look at some of the early 777s we have and the A380 is proving to be an awesome static display.

I just realized that CAL is only getting 25 total 777s. After the next 3 I guess wide body growth at both will be the same. So much for the "We are growing like crazy and you are dying on the vine mindset."

You keep making your condescending remarks and I'll keep flying along at my 76 hour guarantee, flying 12 days on reserve and making 30 dollars more an hour than you on my little 737. And you can keep dreaming of you in that avitar which only a tiny percentage of pilots will fly. I have 25 years left and could give a crap if I see another noodle shop again. But you can brag about your 747s that will be around a couple of more years and how great your contract was decade ago. I'll be here in Houston picketing against the 70 seat cancer your acquisition brought us. And you can smile about your relative percentage of widebodies since you gave 63% of your domestic flying to pilots not on your list and have +1400 of your guys being crapper on and forgotten. Ask them how cool your ratio is. Gmafb. Sounds like you'd rather fly the whale while wearing your hat than actually make some money. Days off and pay is my career expectation. Not how many hours I can fly in one leg.
