YHGTBSM! Pilots below you on the list...??? It's called relative seniority, job security! Or would you rather be closer to the bottom?

During the first furlough I was one of the last guys on the street. Missed the cut by less than 200 peeps. I also missed most of the "better" jobs as those shown the door prior to me got them.
Using conservative estimates, that 20 month furlough cost me at least $120,000, along with untold aggravation and hassle.... (finding another job, going through training, IOE, commuting, hyper junior, non sked contract rules, crashpads, etc etc etc.)
During the second furlough I made the cut by less than 200 guys and I am still on the payroll.
The difference between guys behind you, and no guys behind you is staggering. I hope you never have to find this out from firsthand perspective.

Just in case you mean it, here is a serious answer;
The first hundred (times 14) plus 37 pilots HAVE already been hired by UAL. They will be getting jobs back that they had taken from them.
The current pilots working crushing schedules to make up for the large pay cuts and equipment/position down grades, will be able to return to a better quality of life with improved schedules.
Any additional pilots hired will enjoy a vastly better income and career potential than they would have at the regionals. This helps stop the downward pressure on the profession as a whole.
The goal of the JCBA is for restoration of job security, quality of life, and proper compensation.
Hope that helps,
SP
