No kidding. When people write things such as
reading one of his missives I’ve guffawed out loud
I thought, who writes or talks like that? It really makes one sound a bit out of touch (I could have said aloof) with one's job. Me thinks if there weren't people more interested in using that book that convert one word to a bigger sounding word, you guys just might get along and have a jcba. Trust me, management is way smarter than the average big-missived pilot. Y'all beating each other up over who has the best missive in the land ain't getting the job done and in fact is helping to put more gifts under the mgmt xmas tree.

A few weeks ago many of the UAL pilots were on here saying how disgraceful Jayson's chest thumping was in the "Magenta Line". Here's his equal at UAL who now finds it okay to go after Jay Pierce, and yet I don't hear anyone saying how disgraceful this guys crap is. Oh, that's right, no one at UAL would EVER say anything as mean as our reps at CAL.

Also, I am in favor of banding the 400/777 rates.
Let's keep the big picture in focus and let these boobs fight amongst themselves. It is no reason for you and I or anyone else to get worked up over. They are just peeing in their corner of the yard for now.

At first glance, I would say Baron's letter at least made 'grammatical' sense......regardless if you agree with his stance or not. Someone need's to coach "Oly" about the functions of Spell Check/Grammar Function, especially if he's going to attach his name to a "UAL/LEC ALPA dissertation".....Poor form. I guess we can chalk it up to him finding a bar in Redondo Beach with an early Happy Hour.....that also had WiFi.

You are correct HSLD, that's just about the ONLY "Silver Lining" in his doctorate.
***In all seriousnes******* Many have said it, and I would have to agree, this entire 'mud-slinging' event is getting out of hand. If ANY of us would have said months ago that there would be "none" during this Merger, I'd be the first to call B.S. If the two MEC's....LEC's....Combine JNC see it fit to do so, PLEASE do it behind close doors.....gloves off if so inclined....but leave it THERE.

Count me as one of the UA guys that thinks Oly took the wrong path. He should be spanked by the MEC and have his ability to communicate with the pilot group taken away. What he did was unprofessional and uncalled for. All of the these ALPA people need to look at see what kind of A-holios they are looking like.
He's NOT the only one who has taken that road....both sides have treaded in the 'gray' on publishing unacceptable public tirades.
Let's just HOPE these various examples of POOR FORM from BOTH sides serve as a "Slap to the Face" as to how we ALL need not to do business in Public.....Especially when it comes from our respective Union Leadership.
Nuff said.

Oly is my rep and I like him personally, but my heart sank when I read this email. Though I agree with what he is saying on the issues, he should have left the personal remarks out of it. We can all have different opinions, but we need to rise above the pettiness.
Both sides need to have their keyboards confiscated until they learn to use them with discretion.
