ask SWA peeps how long they were in the pool.
majors can interview , have pools all they want, so they can have pilots ready at the helm when recalled people dont come back--- since the interviewing programs were going full tilt befor eall thsi crap happened- it doesnt really cost them much to interview, put some in the pool , and have them battle ready.
i think it difficult to recruit people making 80-100K to come over and make 30 with every chance of being furloughed.
some people get it, its not about where you fly , but how much you make and QOL--

exactly-- and if you were at skywest/eagle/republic making that kind of money and you know then what you know now, would you still come to untied? ( maybe some would) im luck i got a corp charter jet job making more than i would at united so hilarious untied furloughs me and it benefits me financially long term---
united is a joke- the jcba will be a joke- either mgmnt already knows what they are giving by putting 70 seaters in IAH or its gonna be a fight-- either way-- ual pilots lose.
delta -1% with scope and longevity pay doesnt sound too bad , with those items does it. i just dont trust the senior mec members to represent junior pilot interests as much as their own-- what does a 777 captain who 59 giver a rats ass abotu scope-- he doesnt plain and simple-- all he wants to know is how much is in it for him. exactly

Besides, the jobs provision (sect 7B) of the transition agreement does NOT expire.....So shrink L-UAL out of existence and then HAVE to hire all the "happily" displaced L-UAL employees, yup that would be a fun place to work, passengers would love that.I hear that the L-CAL contract scheduling sections has much more flexibility, so maybe L-CAL can just pick up the slack... Yes there is one idea that the few 120 hours per month Wh0res would welcome. Can't wait.!

Rumor is that CAL is 700 down the list out of 1437-ish of the UAL Furlough list (a few LOA's thrown in as well) and they "expect to hire off the street end of 2012
Take that for what it is worth, it was spoken directly from the Pilot Recruiter at CAL---which is now United.
