The only route out of any of those that will be mainline is the GCM Cayman Island out of IAD, otherwise, it looks like more work for our outsourced flying.

They also mentioned in the earnings release that they are moving 70 seaters to IAH, EWR and CLE

My guess is that:

IAD-SLC
IAD-GCM
SFO-MSY

Will be mainline - the rest is anyones guess. I also believe that by putting some of the 70 seater's into the CAL hubs - management is trying to rattle the cage in order to see what kind of poop falls out.

90% of this new service is junk capacity dumping. Sismek is thumbing his nose at all of us by bringing 70 Seat Career Killers into CAL hubs. I'm p!ssed about it, but there I have to defer to the scope guys to determine how long the 'New' UAL can pull this off. Don't count on this sh!t down the road Jeffrey...

Either mgmt and the union have basically worked out the deal on scope and this is going to be allowed, or smisdick is ****ing all over C02. It would make sense that scope is finished simply because for these routes need to be properly booked for future revenue. In order to do that, new routes need time to be available for future bookings. If they waited until the JCBA is done, the routes would take even longer to become available, if that is the case with scope.

I'm not saying either way what the reason is, this seems to be the simpler answer IMO.

And to add to that, how productive would negotiations be if they shoved a bunch of RJ flying into the mix during negotiations...funny how the union has been silent on this announcement of "new" routes. I would expect that if there was a bunch of RJ flying and outsourcing we would have recieved a nasty gram from them...as we all would expect....we have heard nothing as of this eve. Something is up.
