New UAL stock officially trading
Opened today 10/1/10 @ $23.66 on the NYSE. First 1/2 hour and up 5%.
Oh, yeah:
"The new company said it had $9 billion of unrestricted cash at closing. Company executives have said the merger will deliver $1 billion to $1.2 billion of annual cost and revenue benefits by 2013."
Did I mention FUPM?

So UAL canceled the outstanding shares ONCE and you toss in a "yet again" comment? Is that like, " here comes Haley's comet, yet again"?
If you are keeping score you might as well do it correctly. UAL one BK. CAL two BK. Or as YOU might say, twice as many times as UAL. But why let facts get in the way of your jab.

I think they did a good job of making it painful for all of us. I signed onto UAL skynet and they have the two CAL tails from a 737 and a 777 on the sign in page. While United has had its issues over the years I still liked our logo and it hurts to see it go. I have empathy for you and your company name but understand we are losing our "U" too.
Looking forward to a joint contract and meeting some new friends. Let's tow the line together. Best wishes.
