I just wish he was senior to me.
Hmmm....curious? A G9XXX or is it more like M5XXX-M9XXX employee # or ball park seniority?

May want to look deeper into that. The only thing I would say to be 100% accurate on that topic is that ALL furloughs ('old' CAL side of the list) have been sent recall letters (09/17/10).....but as far as 100% of those furloughs 'signing' on the line as to "YES, I'm committed"?? Find that hard to believe.....at least until their training date comes to the table and their actually in class.

Either way, best of luck, and we look forward to seeing the 'gates' open in bringing back all the furloughs.

I hope they all do come back.

Again, just a 'tall/bold prediction' to say 100% are coming back when not all 100% have had their class date 'actually' happen.....in a 'perfect' world, I would agree.

Just say'in......

I correct my statement. I asked both UAL Furlough Coordinators (Alpa and Company) how many Continental guys are coming back and they said that according to the furlough coordinator at Continental they are all coming back. Now from reading some of the responses it may be 95% come back.

I just wanted to share the info. that I got. You are right until they start training and putting those guys in classes we do not know who will come back for sure.

Hired March 2008, furloughed 1 Oct 2008.

95% may accept a RECALL but no way 95% are going to go to class. I feel pretty solid in saying more than a handful of PMUA guys will be in class in the spring. Just a guess but of 147 10 or so may tell the company to F off and 60% of the remaining 137 or so will be in class with the balance on some type of extended leave due to mil commitments or something else. So I wouldn't be surprised to see upwards of 40-50 PMUA guys in the rest of the training slots.

Can you accept a recall only if it s not Guam or do you not find out after you've already accepted?
Tagging on to your question for the furloughed CAL pilots,

Sorry if I missed it, but I did not see any responses to the question posted above.

In addition,

1. What was the response deadline date on the CAL recall letters?

2. Have any returning furloughed pilots been given specific class dates?

Thanks,

SP

I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack, so please bear with me.

Just to clarify, I understand that all 147 have received recall notices.
How many of those 147 have started training, as in being recalled and are now active on the seniority list?
Thanks in advance.

None of the 147 have started training. Are they active on the seniority list? I guess it's how we define it. They are on the list because they hold a position, but they are still technically furloughed I would say.

I hear they maybe starting training in Nov.
