Let the MEC negotiate the pay. It will be substantially higher than any regional. In this regard our MEC has the upper hand. Scope is ours to give away, not for management to take.
Its a lot more complicated than just pilot pay rates. Connection carriers (Under FFD) have built in profit margins. How does this figure compare with the differences in pay rates? I don't know, but I would love to see a honest cost comparison with all costs totaled up. Including connection carriers being assigned a cost for marketing and reservations etc.

Wrongo Moosebreath. It's the ending point. (No offense intended. I'm sure your breath is as sweet as the mountain air.)

No offense & strictly for your edification, how about we say 'present' or farther ------> North.

Scoop has it exactly right. All this chest thumping don't mean jack. UAL ALREADY has 70 seaters flying under UAX. Why would they simply give them back to mainline pilots....out of the goodness of their hearts?

If you total up the cost of flying people on the mainline, you have to look at UAX flying jets....PERIOD. HOWEVER, word has it that some of the UAL heavy-hitter pax have expressed interest in flying on the mainline vs. UAX...so, the company wants to put them back on the mainline. If the UAL ALPA MEC plays their cards right, UAL pilots WILL be flying 75-100 seats SJs in the VERY near future!

You may get furloughed because of scope, but at least you'll see investment gains.
By the way, my strike fund "matured" this morning.

Very nice! Looks like you were right, but for the wrong reason. This is the first step in restoring scope (as I have been saying) - consolidation for the regionals. I expect two more regionals to be going away as well.

That was my question too.

Oncea57Cap should get together w/ Bligh, and the two of them could be the next "Jim Cramer" on 'what' to buy.

After all, Bligh's batting a solid 1 for 1!!
