without CA vacancies I don’t really see it as anything significant.

If an order is imminent the deliveries won’t be for a while unless there’s some white tails or from a lessor. The numbers don’t add up for short term fix to staffing imo

The biggest difference is that the 737 is ETOPS capable and the 320 is not. All the over water destinations, the Caribbean islands, CUN, HI are all serviced by the 737. You want international flying on the 320, that's Canada, Mexico City and probably SJD.

NK and ( I believe) F9 have deferred some aircraft that were due for delivery in the next few years. Those slots have sort of become de facto white tails.

They were in the production line but have now lost their original buyers due to cancellation or deferral of orders. "White tail" because no livery paint job.
