It makes sense and thanks for the clarification!

I wonder if crew resources jumped the gun and was supposed to hold this vacancy until Scott announced our new deal with Airbus at the Q2 earnings call on Thurs….

Wow that's a lot of Bus FO slots! Since a whole bunch of 73FOs are still under seat lock and can't bid it, I would expect a bunch of these slots will go to new-hires. Right?

not many guppy FOs go to the bus. these are designed for newhires, in order to hire, there has to be unfilled vacancies.

bingo - this is exclusively designed for new hires - nothing else.

i guess they “forgot” about it in the last one.

this only makes sense in the context of new Airbii showing up - leased or purchased

As much as I would love this to happen, it won’t.

Seems to be a resupply for the massive amount of Airbus FO’s bidding out to other fleets.

Again I’d love to be wrong though.

They can only bid out if they have a place to go, there weren’t many widebody openings. Mostly captains and I don’t see many bidding to 737….its interesting.

What is the biggest difference between the type of flying on the 737 vs 320? I heard that the 320 is the "workhorse"? So more legs and shorter hops than the 737, is that really the case?

The 319’s do a lot of regional flying. 320’s are hit and miss I guess. This will rapidly change as we take more 321’s. Every month I feel like the 737 and A320 flying gets more alike, but currently the 737 has all the island flying and most of the S FL flying.
