I want to like it, I don’t mind the price, I just haven’t found it to be very helpful. I’ll try asking some people I fly with what specifically they like about it.

Two things for me make it worthwhile. The offline schedule and the way it works as well as the ability to quickly contact anyone in the crew using the app. That alone makes it worth $10. Throw in the ease of accessing things like pay stubs and pay advice, vacancy bidding and flight info makes it an easy decision.

I'm not trying to get you to part with $10. I don’t have any stake in the app.

I also like the notifications feature and checking legality for pick up

It’s like that for everything though. Crew companion. One click. List for a flight as a commuter—it does it for you. PBS award, one click. There isn’t a single function I can think of that has to do with company IT that it doesn’t simplify.

Thats just it, I am only scratching the surface for it…. It does much more and I am not going to sit here jist out all goods with it. But hey, it’s your call. You don’t have it use it. I just highly recommend it because it really does simplify a lot.

I dunno how you currently log into CCS (desktop? iPad?). When I first got hired I couldn't get EZCCS because I didn't have an iPhone or even Android (don't ask), that was a very costly mistake because I couldn't realistically make trip trades on my phone. A couple years in when I did get an iPhone I finally got EZCCS. Within a few weeks that iPhone was paid for because I suddenly had the ability to make premium pickups from poolside. I tell every new hire I come across to not make my mistake and get EZCCS ASAP. $10 a year is a massive bargain for everything it makes EZ, even if you simply fly your awarded schedule.

I’ve got it for a year, so hopefully I’ll get used to it. I’ve been messing around with it more today and am learning it a little better.

If you have a phone you can easily pickup premium without EZCCS...its called CCS or Crew Companion

Thanks for the superflous memo dude. But if you read what I said closely, you might have clued in on that I had to log onto those sources the hard way and then click my way to what I wanted (this was well before I could log into CCS alone with facial recognition). With EZ CCS I'm on the mobile device trade board with two taps in a few seconds. Trust me, every second counts. As I tell New Hires, when gunning for unanticipated PPU or similar opportunities inside the Real Time window the fastest beats the seniorist. For a New Hire, snagging even a single one day PPU trip would pay for a careers worth of EZCCS. And it's nice to list for commute flights while walking to the gate too.

And if I don't hear from him and I go to the FPA and he doesn't..? Efff that. Waist your own time if you want to, not mine. A few times twidling my thumbs in the FPA as a newb to UA was enough shenanigans. Not gonna guess if the next guy is the 1/100 that actually goes to the FPA - the same that don't put any contact info in CCS.
So, I’m a meet at the airplane mentality and always text my FO’s. But, lacking the communication from the Captain you let me know how your situation works out. I suspect you don’t show the bravado you display on the interwebz.
