If you turn off Fox News, you’ll maybe learn that you can be perfectly safe in NYC and find healthy food options.

Hell, I managed to get get a lot of good exercise in Central Park and see the park packed all the time with folks walking, jogging, biking, and hanging out in the park. Last time I checked, the park didn’t smell like pot either. I have found lots of heathland food options as well….

If the NYC layover is in OT, it isn’t because the layover is short, is because the other aspects of the trip suck, short layover for the DT location factoring traffic, a redeye and day over built into the trip, or it’s a holiday….

funny, crime rates are down in NYC from last year. I have never felt unsafe in NYC and i bounce around the city a fair amount on my rare occasion that i have downtown layover. I would say that the layovers are in open time more due to the long drive, but hopefully there will be a mid layover solution at some point. I would say it is similar to LHR, long ass drive but a great city.

Current hotel is nice enough (gym is pretty awesome) but where we used to stay over on Lexington was more my jam. Less touristy. Easy walk to lots of great bars and restaurants and more of a neighborhood feel. Yes Central Park is further away but I'd make that trade to be in a less touristy area. It's NYC, practically any location is going to have access to lots of good stuff.

It's always the red staters who are the softest when it comes to any kind of adversity in an urban setting.

Yeah i liked it over there better too. There was a pretty good Thai place walking distance that i frequented. Usually paid for by uncle scott since they couldnt figure out how to use the blue bags. I do miss going to NYC, but the trips just dont pay enough, so kind of settled into doing mostly hkg trips. great restaurants, hiking, etc. im sure the floridaits would be scared there as well.

Fascinating story, bro 🥱 🥱 🥱

While you were smart enough to FINALLY figure out that the ole G4 was and is a MASSIVE POS (kudos to getting out, truly), that is, unfortunately (at this moment in time) where the smartness ends.

I would highly HIGHLY recommend you start to SERIOUSLY live a life completely void of politics. It will serve you very well going forward if you can find the inner strength to do what I recommend below. You are doing yourself ZERO favors talking about this retarded BS publicly. I know you don’t see it that way, but trust me man. As idiotically stupid as hell the United States has become there is a 100 million + who are actually independent and have functioning brain cells.

I know that A. You don’t want to hear this or (more than likely) B. Your so engrained in whatever biased right wing BS media that you truly believe wtf your spewing.

Get help dude. And the first remedy is stop watching complete biased BS echo chamber media and thinking you’re “informed” because you 100% are not (and this goes for the “other side” as well).

I implore you to take baby steps. Simple start with this - 7 days. Literally just start with one week. Don’t open up the Fox News app on the phone, don’t watch the news. Go do your trip at AA, go out in your boat and live your life void of all of this insanity. Let me know how it feels. I’m serious.

Then try 2 weeks, then go a month, then 6 and finally a year. Trust me you will be a lot less stressed out and a hell of lot less moronic sounding than you are now.

As for FL? I’m glad you enjoy it. Truly. I’m from the Midwest. Sure it was warm in the winter time, but the 12 months I had to unfortunately spend down there was as, 100% awful. Absolutely hated that BS of a state.

As to the OP. Sheraton is def dated but others have said great location. No reason we can’t find something else right around Midtown or TS.

I thoroughly enjoyed long LGA/EWR and as much as ole Marg (who sure as hell doesn’t work here) claims, I don’t see many in OT which really sucks. I have a lot of fam in NYC and just across the Hudson. Love it there.

I cut out the mainstream news when it reached it's peak BS level some time in 2020. Life is so much better. It's easy to tell if you're talking to someone who lets those muppets do their thinking for them.
