well have to disagree with you that. It's a great city with lots to do. But to each their own.

I like the Sheraton.

Also my hobbies include sitting in traffic, listening to beeping cars from the 25th floor, turning on a TV that has half of the channels not working, riding on goofy elevators, and having my back rearranged by a mattress I'm pretty sure was purchased from the back room of a bodega in Queens.

Yea it's great we use BLOCK time for downtown NYC at the big UAL!

Friday landed 545pm got into limo 605pm

Rolled up in front of the hotel 755pm for a 809AM limo back to EWR! I mean it is FRIDAY who would have known eh?

NEWS FLASH the Airport Marriott would have been a 5 min ride BUT we use BLOCK TIME!

I'm so glad I had time for a show, Captial Grill and even a bar to 3am I did not sleep and reported fit for duty! YAY DT NYC layovers

So have you floored a resolution to change the exception time at your local council meeting? or just complain here?

EWR is one of the 14hr exception cities, so make that 15hrs. I'm with you on preferring the airport hotel though.

14 HOUR EXCEPTION CITIES Block to Block times- LHR 16, JFK,15, IAH 15, SAL 15, DEN 15, EWR 15, IAD 14, 16:59 Hyatt Reston/IAD 17+ Marriott Washington, MEX 16, ORD 16.

Delta used to stay at the Roosevelt at Grand Central Station for years before the Sheraton. That location was right off of Madison Ave, but had incredibly small rooms. Since COVID heard it went BK and now the city owns it and it houses a few thousand "migrants".

That's what I hope for from sr. pilots when I bid. I'll take the DT layover. The rooms are horrible. But location, location. We used to stay at the Marriott by Grand Central. Better rooms but that was a horrible location. Between the two, I'll take the Sheraton.
Important tip, make sure the Capt sits on the right side of limo. You know, we're all about safety.😁
