Let's say you as an airline pilot actually wanted to make that call. What would you say to the FAA? That's the part that I'm struggling with.... it just makes no sense.

Now... you embellish the story a bit for your Karen husband, or even maybe your girlfriends in a private setting and they let their imaginations run wild... I could see someone who just doesn't know any better making that call - not an airline pilot.

It’s not dumbfounded for the FAA to suspend their certs while they investigate. Yeah, no one should go through that.
And yet I've seen her name and photo posted on non-united forums from United's internal database. And it's a cop-out to claim she's a liability based solely on rumors.

Even if she does get let go from the line...someone at Willis is reading the story and thinking "She's got senior mgmt potential written all over her..." 🤔

Good point. She will fit right in somewhere inside the walls of HR.

Also, newsflash, pilot’s names and addresses are publically available for all to see so it is hard to dox someone who is already public record.
Newsflash, the union is explicitly telling us that company discipline is a possibility for those who circulate identifying information online. Further, one need not be a legal scholar to know that with a digital paper trail of 30 hours of Javier-based training & quarterly clicking of “I agree & understand”, the old “I didn’t think it was harassment” defense is not a strong play.

Still, if you don’t believe the union understands these laws, or they’re just lying to us about it; well, as the saying goes, feel free to “eff around & find out”.

That's crazy if it's true.

And you should absolutely approach that individual in the airport, tough guy. Especially considering every single detail is a rumor but you seem to have all the facts.
Sole source vs non-sole source. No matter how it happened there is absolutely reason for concern.

Yes. Yes they would. And initiate enforcement action too.
One of the reasons I stopped using Channel 9.

Is channel 9 still a thing? I loved it when I was a kid.

If you get it please send it to me. She'll never ride on my plane.
