I interviewed on Jan 18th.
I was torn about leaving DAL. There are lots of pros and cons, but the biggest factor for me is that I prefer UAL's bases. I live in the greater LAX area right now, so both are drivable, but I plan to leave these taxes and move to a more family-friendly area in the future. I enjoy wide-body international flying, and despite various opinions about growth plans and business directions, I expect quicker seniority movement at UAL. UAL also seems much more dedicated to international flying.
I try not to factor this in too much since it might just be bad luck, and I know there are bad apples at all airlines (maybe air lines fits better here) and businesses. However, I've met a surprisingly high number of people at Delta with significant ego problems, and getting away from that makes the idea of extending first-year pay much more tolerable for me.
Can anyone who has been to Denver for initial training recently speak to parking options? I've heard that after indoc, hotels are downtown Denver. Is parking included with the hotel reservations? I plan to stick around on off days and would love the ability to explore CO.

Lol, only found out from the welcome package after I parked my car. Oh well.

This is not even close. Also anyone hired today can still be a Captain inside a year which you can't do at any major carrier.
I've never understood the fixation on "absolute seniority number" meaning someone won't leave LCC X because their number is 4,200 and they don't want to "give up seniority" to be number 17,500 at Major X.
United still has 800 aircraft on order with 150 of those being 787s. Also there is 165 A-321s coming which are mostly growth aircraft and all the MAX 8 and 9 planes are mostly growth. We are the growth airline, and other airlines are either stagnant or shrinking and deferring orders and furloughing pilots.
To eash his own, but with retirements ramping up to almost 800 be 2028 there is going to be a ton of movement for the next decade, as the 787s and other planes will still be being delivered by 2034.
