Not sure how they like to fill classes, but I did hear they prefer to put a mix of different experience levels in each class. So if they are filling the classes with just Aviate pilots then i would think that is not normal practice.

I have a mid-January CJO. With back log, aviate pilots and "good mix" I have been told not to expect a class date this year. It's kind of all over the place. It's looking like I will have to reapply. I haven't found out yet if I get any interview preference though.

Why would you need to reapply if you already have a CJO?

CJO meeting said pretty much no one would have to worry about reapplying unless they chose to push back their class date or couldn’t attend class for some reason.

Considering they only have some December stragglers waiting for class I wouldn’t be too worried.

I am pro-DEI, but my race and gender are the exact opposite of DEI. Maybe that will delay my placement. There are too many of me I guess to make a good mix in each class.

Indeed I do remember them saying that nobody would need to reapply as long as they didn’t push their class dates out they expect everyone will get a class well before they even get close to a year.

Placement in class has nothing to do with DEI. It has too do with experience level and your experiences background. So they can get a good variety of backgrounds in class. As far as the latest updates with this I’ve heard two different versions one is that the first two classes are only Aviate and the other saying that half of each class is Aviate due to the two month pause affecting some people’s “flow” date. I’ve also been told these classes are smaller than normal but have also heard that they could be large. The rumor mill is a wide spectrum I guess.

As a mid January CJO holder your close to the next classes, a friend of mine interviewed the first week of January interviews (9th-11th) they made it into the April 30th Class. Tracking the trends (17th-19th) should be the next interview week up. With a mix of stragglers.

Not at all what they mean by class mix. They like to have a variance of experience and background in classes, not racial makeup. That way the classes are not purely military, regional, corporate, etc.

You clearly haven't seen the recent class pictures - it's 90% Weisswurst

dude chill…..you are going to say something you might regret. It’s not necessary to be so stressed out.

United didn’t waste its time flying you out for free, paying a pilot to interview you and covering their trip, then disscus whether or not you should be hired then send you a letter and put you on follow up lists just to flush you. Waiting is normal the past 3 years is NOT NORMAL.

This made me laugh. How much "experience" do you get from a 23 yr old wonder hire lol
