Supposedly there are about 550 more to hire for the remainder of the year.
Is that 550 more pilots to hire or to have people with CJOs start class?

The (possible) displacement itself is very minor. The reason for the displacement could possibly have an affect though. They’ve been overstaffed for close to a year, but they’ve avoided displacing people because they were expecting more planes for Summer 2025. There are two possibilities that I can think of that would cause a change:

A: Network planning is going to send the 2025 planes to a different base

or

B: Boeing is telling them that the 78’s are even more delayed than publicly known

In scenario A there’s no effect on hiring in scenario B there absolutely could be.

I’m leaning towards the nothing burger of scenario A, but only slightly.

In the town hall today it was mentioned that the 78 delay is looking like more of an issue than the Max.

I am hearing there are issues with the A321s we are receiving as well.

I don’t believe the NEOs you guys are receiving have the powdered metal issue on the Pratts like ours at NK. Not sure what other problem there could be

I think these are are all the people in the pool from Jan-June to go through class by the end of the year they mentioned. The recruiters said if you had a CJO before June, you'll be in by the end of the year.

550 to put into class. I’m sure the pool is well filled. Interviews are still happening though so I’m sure some could still get slotted in this year.

I'm not privy to what exactly the issues are, but quite a few of what would have been 321 legs are being swapped over to 320s and/or 737s. Rumor is quality escape issues on the newer NEO deliveries requiring extended mx checks.

Yup, your class dates appear to be correct, according to the latest document I see. And that number of 550 checks...
