Nope. The current society we live in has a MASSIVE lack of personal accountability. What happened to this crew sucks…for THEM. Who do they have to blame? Themselves. This sort of reckless behavior threatens MY livelihood, and I have every right to get upset about it. Were they protecting the rest of us when they made this choice? Nope….

It's clear now. Justice can't truly be served until ReadOnly7 has had their chance to **** on a perceived grave or two. Nobody said they weren't to blame. There are some things that happened with this situation that aren't widely known. Put your gas can down. Let the process play out.

I know an older guy, long since retired, who was a union rep for Northwest back before the merger with Delta. He defended the two pilots who flew along for 90 minutes with their radios turned down so as not to be distracted by ATC "chatter" as they used their laptop computers - allegedly to learn the "new" Delta bidding program. They resumed doing their actual jobs - flying the aircraft - only after a FA got them on the intercom to ask when they were landing. They were 150 miles past their destination - still at altitude and effectively self initiated NORDO at the time.

distracted
But to this day he claims that the FAA and Delta mistreated them for what he deemed as a minor problem.

Who's pretending? You're arguing what's already been established. It's just an echo of what some others have said in this thread since it strated. For what purpose at this point? What's your. goal? There are other parts of the process that could have been questionable. Let the process play out. The process afforded to us by the UPA and RLA.
