I have literally never seen a FA even attempt to sit in a control seat.

Probably depends on the fleet. Have to explain this all the time now on the bus. It’s like they are trying extra hard to do it now since it became all the rage on social media. At least in my head it used to be less frequent.

After brake release, use of emergency authority notwithstanding, no one gets in behind the controls of an airliner except for assigned flight officers. Have to argue about it, something gone wrong somewhere.
