The other thing I do is I drop the jump seat behind the captains seat, and I run my seat or my F/O's seat forward in prep for the F/A to come up. When they enter I offer them the jump seat and they almost always take it. I no longer have any issues with F/A's plopping down in a control seat. I'm on the 320, not sure what you'd do on the 737?

When I brief that no F/A's are allowed in a control seat in flight I still get some eye rolls and "whatever" looks. Which means people are still allowing them or inviting them into a control seat in flight. It's your ticket on the line do what you will. Don't forget some are taking pictures and videos while you're in the back and those images get posted on social media.

Same. I’ve added that to my briefing too.

Probably the best plan. Otherwise even if you don't invite them to sit, or know they're doing it while you're out, there still be some 'splainin to do if pics or video gets on the interwebs.

Jesus, how long are your FA briefings if you try to cover every possible scenario that can happen in an airplane?

Try the pilot briefings. When people get neck deep in their “threat forward” briefings I need a shave after they’re done.

Under a minute. Weather, meals, any specials, taxi time and no sitting in a pilot seat in flight. Over water if needed.

This ain't rocket surgery.

When you grow up and become an airplane pilot one day maybe you can give crew briefings too. But for now be quiet and let the adults talk, mmm Kay?
