As I said earlier, this is a great time for a significant cultural change at United.

Will it happen? I don't know. UAL seems "ideologically" locked in, whether it is benefical or not. I'm not sure it is possible to turn back.

Nepotism, DEI and NPS lead the way -- on the surface things are vibrant and hip, but the core has been eroded away to almost nothing.
Not up to UAL. But I guess UAL can give them jobs doing classroom training after the FAA shreds all of their certs. I'd take odds that the emrgency revocation orders are already in the mail.

I'd take that wager. This has happened before, and it did not cause any certificate action.

This one has a little more publicity though so it might affect the initial response.

The good news about all these safety headlines is that when your VP off Safety's only real experience is working as a journalist for CNN and in public relations for DOT, then she can manage the bad headlines that much better!

Agreed. This is bad press, but they won't take action on the certificate over it.

In that instance the flight attendant was in the seat when the plane landed; big difference.
