These 2 are complete f@_____ morons, not only did they let a passenger sit in the seat they filmed themselves doing it! The icing on the cake is that it’s more than likely the captain filming it all. Firing them for completely disregarding anything that resembles safety would very appropriate.

I often wonder how these cringy pilot "influencers" have time to do their job.

Did they really look over all those notams, verify each MEL was complied with correctly, check the weather to make sure an alternate wasn't required, make sure the alternate meets the wx minimums, pre-flight the aircraft, verify the rourte, etc.

They have time to do all that ... and set up their tripod and video production equipment?

Do captains actually allow that crap? You can't tell me they are completely focused on thier job when they are "influencing".

Do you honestly think influencers taking video at their job aren't getting help from the company media team on some level? If you're watching video from an influencer that's beyond what a pax could see, it's no more real than any Reality TV on cable. Or it's unvetted and thus is going to be squashed by the company.

I doubt heads will roll for this, including the pilots.

As I said earlier, this is a great time for a significant cultural change at United.

Will it happen? I don't know. UAL seems "ideologically" locked in, whether it is benefical or not. I'm not sure it is possible to turn back.

Nepotism, DEI and NPS lead the way -- on the surface things are vibrant and hip, but the core has been eroded away to almost nothing.

I am just waiting for the FOM revision that says "Passengers are not allowed to sit in the pilot seats, nor visit the flight deck while in flight", because two of us needed the reminder.

Do you really believe this? If they don't roll for this - 100% choosing to do something very, very ridiculous - what would make them roll?
