Will lifestyle in the near term be basically the same? Thanks!
IAD is the best airport for widebodies, and UAL dominates that airport. So if you want widebodies, UAL makes more sense. It's worth pointing out that even if you don't want widebodies, the existance of a widebody fleet is still an amazing opportunity because A- you might change your mind and B- if you don't change your mind WB's will still lure in dozens of more senior pilots, greatly accelerating your seniority on NB's. Even if you do need to drive to BWI or DCA, you will get crosstown pay which I'm sure will make it worth your time. Although when I commuted to DC the DCA and BWI trips were quickly snapped up by locals who preferred those airports.

I have the last vacancy in front of me and its 4.5-5 years. What are you looking at?

Junior 787 holder at AA is a March 2020 hire, so four years, but not hiring from then until Fall 2021 adjusts that time a bit.
