The short call cap starts in AUG 24. The cap will be 6, used or not. But a reserve can go over 6 if they aggresively pick it up. The cap won't apply to VEC or VSC reservs.

If you go WB, you’re going to seat lock yourself for two years. Current junior man in MCO is ~200 numbers from the bottom of the seniority list, so it’s currently a few months to hold MCO. Obviously things can change, but if you’re looking to get to MCO ASAP try to get the 737 in indoc.

until they spread those out so it’s one day on SC the next on LSR.

imagine

Day1 :0800-2200 SC (can’t commute home)
Day 2 :commute home for LSR just to get called for Sc the next day and have to commute back same day
Day 3 : 0800-2000 SC

I start class next month so 737 is on the #1 is on the top of my list. I’m young enough to probably get forced into the CA seat. After that, I’d bid WB (most likely, though anything can happen, of course). If commuting to WB on the new contract isn’t worth it, I’ll stay 737 until I can hold a line on the WB.

Don’t want to get ahead of myself, but want to get a realistic idea of what the next 3-5 years might look like (in theory).

well, hopefully they’d give you the short call later in the day so you can go in the morning of day 3 in your example. The long call callout goes to 18 hours in August (14 hours if assignment is between 12-1359).

I dunno. Wishful thinking.
