I think with your experience you'll get an invite pretty quickly. If you take the bus training will be a breeze.
Hiring about 50 ish a week. According to some The wave may have crested. However I think your bankruptcy fears are kind of no joke legitimate.
PM me if you need help.
thanks! what is the likely hood that I could get stuck at the Guam base?

Non- voluntetarily? Pretty much no chance of that happening, I don't know the last time there was even an unfilled vacancy to offer to be hires.

Stuck? As in against your will.......about as likely as Spirit being purchased by AirTransat and you being stuck in Muntreal

if they cannot than 2 year seat lock until they can move to any other position?
If you're given CA in indoc it's closer to a 3yr seat lock, because your seat lock starts over when you upgrade.

but in all seriousness thanks for the info.

it’s time for me to start reading yalls new contract and read the forms here.

I need to start updating my logbook and probably sell some toys to save to make it through first year pay.

I’m assuming im not seat locked right out of training if I did get a plane I didn’t want?
The answer UAL pilots say is just like crack, you can't get off the WBs. I was at spirit for a few years and now I've been at UAL for a few years. I'm a commuting WB FO right now. Spent some years as a NB FO. I really liked NK. It was a much harder decision to leave than I thought it would be. I was sad to leave honestly. Now I wish I would've left sooner. Let me know what your specific questions are in a pm and I'll do my best to answer them.

Has anyone here left Southwest for UAL fairly recently? I'm curious to hear your comparisons. I am looking at the new contract that SWA put out and trying to compare it to a career UAL. I know schedule flexibility is second to none at Southwest (no ELITT and vacation trading), but I'm just trying to maange expectations. Can you trade trips with other pilots? How many days do people average off a month?

Thanks in advance

Yeah about 150 ended up at UAL in the last year or so.

Just curious how long United plans on keeping their 767 around? And how quickly to hold one is an FO?
