Obviously these are all worries for years down the road for me.. But still. Like anyone else, I want my chance to upgrade too. I just wish I was born a few years earlier or was younger and could've taken advantage of the wave of the last few years. It really does, some days, feel as though if you weren't part of that, your career is effectively over/going to stagnate significantly and lead to guys making millions more just from lucky timing. it is what it is.. thanks.
If you put half as much time into job fairs and marketing yourself as you do worrying about the what ifs, you’ll be just fine. Trust me, I’m speaking from experience!

Breathe and keep grinding away, you’ll get your chance.

The retirement wave has just begun and doesn't even peak for several more years. It will continue through the early 2030s. Top that off with the planned growth and United will be hiring for a long time. We haven't even taken our first 787 from the last order yet due to Boeing. Relax, don't get too wrapped up into what you read online. You'll be fine. Go fly a plane and focus on today.

Not that it matters but 15 years is exactly how long it took for me to get to the left seat at U. Still the best career in the world!

For anyone not in the WhatsApp group, some folks reported yesterday that they received invites for the 15 October and 29 October classes!
