I can tell you off the bat that the number for 9,125 days (25 years) shows 12,551 retirements, not including early outs or medical problems.

The number of people retiring before you isn't a static figure just because that's what it is when you get your seniority number, only the number of people senior to you. So actual number retiring in those more distant years will be greater than currently projected.

The uncertainty factor being that there is continued ongoing hiring of people with less than 25 years - even less than 20 years remaining before they hit age 25. That may even increase as those lured to the regionals by big DEC bonuses begin to see their contracts expire and 43-44 year old military retirees start their second career. Remember, everybody in your INTRO class who is senior to you bidding on base and equipment will be at mandatory retirement before you will, and everyone in subsequent classes older than you as well.

Yep. Not trying to contradict you in any way. It's just that I continue to see people who believe that hiring for replacement in future years is entirely dependent on the number of people senior to them aging out of the system instead of realizing that there are often people yet to be hired that will be aging out before them. And for those who don't yet have a seniority number, many don't seem to know that those numbers for future replacement hires aren't static. For very young applicants they are very much not static. For some people that doesn't seem very intuitive.

Honestly pretty pointless, still planning on hiring 800+ pilots this year. All interviews scheduled through July and August. All classes filled July. Submit your app vs just hitting save, update at least once every 30 days. Go to conferences. Newark and SFO jr bases.
if you get an interview soon expect a class date Late 24 Early/Mid 25.
expecting to hire 10,000+ pilots by 2032
