Contact pilot recruitment and have them transition your profile to the new application.

Default Does this work for AGR?

I dunno, this is a nothingburger to me, I'm with TechTanker on this one. CJO today don't do ish for me in two-three years, other than maybe arbitraging it against a different airline I'm more interested in. Heck, in 2020 many of those CJOs were effectively rescinded, as would be expected.

I mean, I get 'conditionals' all the time on LinkedIn for all sorts of jobs, that and a buck eighty gets me a brick of sugar wafer cookies at Walmart. It's getting that line number clock started ahead enough so I don't have to half-transcon commute (non-starter) to some HCOL reserve hot trash while waiting for Godot for my domicile of choice. That's what changes everything. One of my favorite scenes comes to mind:

"pAy uR duUuUeS!" brigade in 3...2....

I have not seen detailed data but does this new military pilot hiring apply to AGRs? I am guessing from your message it does not. I just have not seen anything to verify. Thanks,

Bottom of page Page 2 in the program guide:

For purposes of this Program Guide, “Active Duty” refers to full-time service members and excludes reserve-component personnel who are on full-time active duty for training or temporary operational duties. This definition also excludes Active Guard and Reserve (AGR) or similar full-time reserve-component positions.

This x 1000%. When are they going to change? Seems like most follow Delta’s lead; so if Delta (and Alaska) is doing it, why wouldn’t United (or American for that matter)?

Most making Delta their first choice aren’t doing it over the ability to apply with only an ATP written. Pay, work rules profit sharing, culture, where their bros went, brand name, bases etc. pretty much all come in higher on the list.

There may be a legitimate reason (AQP approval etc.) as to why they do it differently, but DAL is gonna DAL and UAL is gonna UAL.

If that's their reasoning for going Delta over United, then imo we'd be better off without them.

The primary benefit of the MPP is that it primarily eliminates the hesitancy of getting out vs. staying in, and secondarily drives them toward UAL instead of having to hit up networking and job fairs, etc., once they get out. I can't even imagine the peace of mind I would have had to basically have a guaranteed legacy job waiting for me right after I got my wings. That would have been amazing.

This! As far as AGRs, I don’t see any reason not to jump on this. Then 4-6 years out, before your CC gig, go to indoc and training. Consolidate then see you later! Best gig imaginable. Works great, lasts long time…

I guess you could argue Title 10 vs 32.
But heck with it, if your AGR, forfeit your orders for a year, with the promise of them waiting for you, get your line number, consolidate then see you later.

Hey all,

I am wondering if anybody has heard anything back about who has applied to this program. I am a 2000-Hour C-17 EP type who submitted about a month ago, but I haven't heard anything back. ADSC expires Sept 2027.
