I know we pilots are experts at everything, but in this case I'll take the word of the career ALPA attorneys, the NC and simple common sense instead of the ceaseless complaints of a small contingent of one-issue pilots and their very inexperienced reps who have obviously forgotten that they represent all the pilots and not just the loudest or those who helped them get elected.

Nice try. I think few here have had more debates against these guys on the basis of their faux science than me. But if I’m being open minded, what they are arguing for goes beyond their conspiracy theories & into the realm of something that actually happened. It wasn’t important to you or I, but to some here it was very important. Silencing them isn’t effective. Let people speak, rebut what you disagree with, & everyone listening can decide who sounds more credible.

We’re probably both betting in the neighborhood of a 75% pass rate, which kind of proves my point. This isn’t moving the needle, so why be so outraged by it? Let everyone speak their piece & have a democratic outcome conclude whose argument resonated with the most people.

Totally agree with you on “let the process work”. Letting the membership determine if it passes their own sniff test is a feature, not a bug.

We haven’t always had membership ratification and I can say I like being able to have a vote and share my views/ask questions of other pilots.

However, when votes are in the the results are released, will the raggged edges of the Bell Curve respect the majority and move on?

No where did I argue for or against vaccines. I am pointing out that your understanding of contract law is flawed. And armed with your (and the IAH council’s) flawed understanding of the how the language in the TA works you are making absurd claims about how this will affect us in the future. Watch the videos and listen carefully to our legal councils words. Then go back to the drawing board and find something else to be aggrieved at

Okay let’s try this again. I’m not claiming anything. I’ve made no statements about contract law, nor predictions about how the policies in question will affect us now or in the future. Neither am I aggrieved over “medical freedom” policies in general. I don’t agree with the IAH council’s conclusions on this this section of the TA, but I do support their right to publish it at this point in the voting process. That’s all. If you want to argue that point, I’m game but if you want to argue the rest of the above you’re talking to the wrong guy. See you at the drawing board?

You sure are making a lot of posts claiming nothing. Feel free to resist the urge to post about nothing.

Another beauty of the process is, it doesn’t really matter. The lesson of the TUMI era was involvement. As long as we all stay active, the bell drives the boat, and the edges are just noise. (I say that as an occasional edge myself.) It’s only when the majority gets complacent & disinterested that the impassioned fringe gains enough relative strength to start making decisions for the rest of us.
