We are also thankful to be in a country where we have the option to celebrate the resurrection of the Son of God whose sacrifice makes the difference between life and death for eternity. As we pause to observe the most celebrated and sacred holiday in the Western world today, know that our thoughts and prayers are with every one of you as we go through life's highs and lows together.

It's funny how the "Why on earth should the company care about X culture/religion/identity, just fly the damn planes!" crowd sure gets worked up into a tizzy when the company doesn't go out of their way to celebrate THEIR religious holiday. It's almost like that argument that isn't centered on a focus about the core mission of the company, and it's more about recognizing them and nobody else.

Yeah, United should have a corporate Chaplin, and start each day with a white-male centric Christian prayer. Maybe we should pass out bibles instead of alcohol wipes? What can we do to make YOU feel secure?

Your argument would make sense if they didn't acknowledge other religous holidays, but they do; Ramadan, Hanukkah. At face value it seems anti-christain.

The post above is great. United has no problem celebrating every other religion and every other holiday under the sun, but conveniently left out Easter and our Christian peers. Epic P.R. fail.
