No. Like the measles, it will always be here. But once vaccination rates drop below a certain level (high 90s for COVID and Measles) it will come back. I am more concerned with measles than COVID.

So, people with CoMoreBigTitties (pronounced co-morbidities) are at risk of dying if they get it. Hey, F them if they can’t take a joke.

well given that This vaccine only lessens the symptoms and doesn’t really do anything to prevent transmission, a 95% vaccination rate would just mean more people would be less sick .. not less people getting sick ..

not how vaccines work. Over 95% transmission stops. When was the last time you heard about someone getting measles before Jenny McCarthy started her fake anti vax crap and Republicans were in charge. Never heard of anyone getting measles when Regan was President.

That's sounds pretty significant and it is doesn't conflict with my characterizations one iota. Again, thanks to Ed Bastion and his big mouth.

That’s because the Covid “vaccine” is NOT actually a vaccine. It is a therapeutic. It does not prevent infection. It does not prevent transmission. Per the CDC, the peak of effectiveness of the COVID “vaccine” is about 50%, and falls off rapidly.

Measles actually does have a vaccine, and the 2-dose regimen is 97% effective per the CDC. For life. Covid does not have anything remotely like that, regardless of what it is commonly called. Don’t conflate the two.

I don’t remember all 4 anymore. Pay rates was one, vacation value was another, I believe.

As to the Ed’s comments, I love when people from other airlines, who weren’t there, tell me “how it worked” at my airline. Once again, you are overblowing the impact of Ed’s comments, and minimizing the enormous work which had already been AIP’d by the negotiating committee.

COVID is so yesterday, time to move on to the next item of interest.

I love it when people completely mischaracterize what others say. Initially, your 'both things can be true' when I wasn't even commenting on the substance only the timeline. Then you persist on imagining things I never said.

it was 5 open sections with only 10 individual open items.
-pay (2, pay and retro)
-retirement (2, DC and min balance)
-deadheading (2, PSC and deadhead seat selection)
-hours of service (1 individual item)
-scheduling (3 individual items the company wanted that didn’t make it into the TA)

I agree wholeheartedly fangs, Ed’s comments may have irked the mediator, but that isn’t the reason our contract is as good as it is, our NC did a fantastic job.

That's not inaccurate. But since the symptoms can kill some folks, and put other folks in bed for a week or two it still has utility. Kind of like the flu shot.

The real benefit of the vaccine was that it stopped the narrative of "we all need to be subject to indefinite government mandated lockdown to protect the vulnerable, regardless of the personal or societal cost"***

Vulnerable should get the shot if they're concerned.
