the company did a good job (for them) of drastically reducing premium at the end of last summer.

That still doesn’t change my point, there’s still a good number in our pilot population that will chase premium like it’s cocaine….

Names have been changed to protect the… uh …innocent?…
Why would you give up the opportunity to listen to Capt Bill tell you how he walked uphill both ways to school and you should be grateful to him for the same “opportunity”, since he didn’t think to fix the walk for people after him cause it cuts into his ‘negotiating capital’. (I guess as a substitute you could just read some of the contract threads)
Or the guy who introduces himself to you as, “hi, I’m for 67, my names Bob.”
Or the Capt Bogart who says “see this pill I take? It makes me ejaculate more.”
I’ve made nothing up. I have an extensive list of characters but didn’t want my post to be as long as yours.
In all seriousness, grass is greener, blah blah, you’ve got the major talking points already except that slinging bags is fun now, wait till your nearing 50, missing 20+ years of seniority and thinking, “man, I don’t have to sling bags there…”

What's better at United? Your long term career is better at United!
If it's quality of life you desire then remain a FO in Denver on the 737 and in a few years you will be in the top 25%; picking the days you work and the trips you fly. You could remain in the right seat your entire career and work one day turns and make more than you ever will it NJ. If you change your mind and want to make big money then that option will always be there too. If you want to work in TK that will soon pay north of 300K. Two of my adult kids went to Europe this summer for free and both got first class on the return flight (CDG-SFO). My wife and I enjoyed coach (although I jumpseated home in the 787 bunk). Netjets agreed to their contract in 2020 only because they were bleeding pilots. In my opinion this is an absolute no brainer.

Exactly. It wasn’t long ago that 135/corporate were extremely rare in new hire classes. I’ve flown with some great pilots from that world but it wasn’t easy to make that jump for many. Also wasn’t long ago that our recruiters were scrutinizing college GPAs and favoring those with graduate degrees on top of thousands of hours of PIC jet at 121 carriers. I get it- times have recently changed and we are “casting a wider net” but this guy comes on here expecting people who were hired here under traditional conditions to make a case for him to just hop on over. Mind blown…..
