On one hand, I have to remind myself that we are a union with the ability for each member to have their voice heard. You know the whole ALPA myth that “the line pilot is the most powerful part of ALPA”.
But seriously, we haven’t always had membership and it’s a responsibility that we should be fully involved with.
On the other hand, before the internet, we’d only have to listen to the edges of the bell curve in the privacy of the union hall. That website is a doozy.

Honest question for anybody who has been here 20 years or longer. Were these characters ever as relevant as they seem to think they are? Or has it always just been a fringe group?

21-DD-1 Medical Autonomy. The Company may not unilaterally impose a vaccination, medical procedure, or medical requirement on Pilots beyond any requirements imposed by the FAA, including special issuance certificates.
Doesn’t this mean the company can’t repeat what they did for the Covid vaccine?

Yes, the well-defined edges of the bell curve have always be here. There was a time when you’d have to attend an actual union meeting to offer the courtesy eye-roll.
