Gun to your head? Was that before or after they “found” $5b and Tilton walked away with $40+ million?
Wah. First pilot group in history to have bad things happen apparently. I must’ve missed when the Braniff, Pan Am, EAL, etc guys tried to saddle the younger generations (you) with their career issues.
If a windfall of five extra yeas hasn’t solved your retirement woes, two more won’t.

here are some examples of people "enriching themselves" at your expense. Do you have a chip for them too?
a more senior pilot getting;
1. The vacancy you want
2. The vacation you want
3. The trips you want
4. The days off you want
5. The jump seat you want
6. The First Class seat you want
7. The PP Trip you want
8. The trip trade you want.
etc. etc.

Not everyone older than you is necessarily senior to you nor do they all want to change the retirement age. I hope they keep the age where it's at. you seem to carpet bomb everyone older than you with insults regardless if they agree with you on Age 67. There is one thing, if they change the age, you will fly passed 65 if given the chance just like almost everyone else. Just like last time. You are no better than anyone else.

Those junior to you are not responsible for any of the tough times you’ve been through in this career, and the only reason that you’re sitting in the seat you are is because someone older than you reached retirement age and moved on to open that seat.
There is a lot of mental gymnastics going on here but the simple truth is when you hold the seat you’re in for up to two years longer you are removing that seat from being passed on to someone else. You’re being selfish, you’re being greedy and all those younger pilots on your seniority list wherever you are, cannot bid to that seat.
Congress may pass this thing but those advocating are nothing more than selfish a-holes. You are enriching yourselves by holding on to the highest paying seats for two more years but you already know that. You just don’t have the balls to come out and say I’m greedy and/or I jacked up my retirement planning and now I need to screw over my fellow pilots. You'll continue to hide behind these straw man arguments about how you deserve it, oblivious to the fact that every word you say/type further shows your greed and selfishness.
Now tell me how you’re really doing it for everyone junior to you or some other altruistic BS.

All the 67 supporters can spin this however helps them sleep better at night, but the simple truth is this…

In this instance a group of senior individuals, some who’ve already engaged in scab behavior in their past, others who opposed age 65 but now are in a position to benefit from 67, most whom benefited from a career in the highest paying positions are actively trying to lobby Congress against overwhelming desires of the larger majority as backed up with survey data. Behavior which should be an Article 8 offense, and has been before but for some reason isn’t this time.
