Age 67 isn’t going to get you there any faster.

Your post was very short and did not state what you're now stating was your intent. Reread:

A House (of representatives) divided, can not stand (vote). Meanwhile, age 65 keeps Rollin' like that old Limp Bizkit song. Another day, another xxx retirements. It's been 15 months since Lindsay Graham (R) introduced the Let Experienced Pilots Fly Act in the Senate. But just like Obamacare, age 65 is STILL.... the law of the land. Thank you Blue Senate. Keep Rollin' Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

An age change to 67 is very likely sometime in the future. (The camel's nose went under the tent when they changed the age to 65)
However, I think that the window for an age change on this FAA Reauthorization is closing.
Domestic airfares have softened. International airfares/travel has been strong, but I would expect to see a decline in international travel due to current world events. If terrorist activity continues, it will have a chilling effect on air travel.
We could easily wake up in the not too distant future where the pilot shortage has evaporated. Without a pilot shortage, there isn't a pressing need to raise pilot retirement age.

It’s going to be too little to late, it WILL change basically when the airlines start to ‘right size’ for new economic conditions resulting in a halt of progression for well over the 2 years of the extension. Enough time for pipelines and flight schools to shut down and create another gap in pilots 10 years later, resulting in everyone freaking out saying we need age 70 or single pilot to prevent air travel collapse.
I hear our applicant pool has grown a bit since the bottom of the barrel times of a year year and a half ago. if the goal of age 67 was to prevent understaffing of airlines, I agree with the above post that that ship has sailed. I think it more has to do with taxing a very high income group of the population while simultaneously saving on social security payments both immediate and total years post retirement. Follow the money, it’s going to happen, probably at the worst possible time staffing wise as well (at least for us who aren’t turning 65 anytime soon)
