Technically contingent reserve gets 1 hour add pay for show no go, and unless the hub is in the yellow or red they only have 1 hour to reassign you. If not used you go back to long call. Reserve at United will never be so fabulous that senior line holders bid it, nor will any TA please everyone. This agreement is far from perfect, but there are significant improvements for reserves and many other areas as well. While it’s not perfect, I think significant gains were accomplished considering how much we gave away or lost in bankruptcy over the last few decades.

You might want to fact check your statement on 1 hour add pay its 515 LPV . When is there gonna be the most less than 30 min connection times when the hubs are green or yellow and red? Nothing is perfect but how about seeing it for what it is. Stop trying to sell it nobody gives a #hit what you think. We can all think for ourselves.

You’re correct about the 5:15 LPV. That is an increase from 2:00 from current book according to the LAX roadshow (54:35). Not trying to sell this at all. Haven’t decided how I’m even going to vote, but this started when you said

“ Reality is res sys hasent changed in this contract and probably wont after aug 24.
We already have pure short call and long call lines in the current contract.”

The actual reality is that reserve and many other areas have changed, some significantly. It is up to the individual to determine if this meets their threshold for a yes vote, but to say that reserve hasn’t changed was quite a stretch. There are lots of changes, we just need to weed through them all and determine if the think they’re good or bad, and vote accordingly.

Hi UA pilots. I’m a Southwest CA and mom of a recent SWA newhire. I would prefer my son get a job at a real airline, so I’m trying to convince him to apply at Delta. In case that does not work out, UA could be a good backstop. I recently read that DL is hiring inexperienced pilots. Is UAL doing the same? Thank you for any information this is just very different times.

You might want to fact check your reality. The only change to res after sighing until jan 24 is nothing and from jan 24 until aug 24 is 3hrs to mpg. If after aug 24 and still no change it goes up 6hrs. The company doent have to implement any change to res. How about you do some 'weeding through" yourself instead of jumping on people who are doing the work. You dont even know what your voting yes on except for the pay rates and retro.

There’s always going to be a phase in period regardless of how good the language in a section is. The LAX roadshow mentioned that this TA generates the need for something like 1,000 more pilots, and you can’t just flip the switch and make that happen overnight. After August 2024 reserve won’t be perfect, but there will be significant changes for the better. The elimination of involuntary FSB, the creation of a minimum number of pure long call lines that can’t be changed to short call, add pay options for those who volunteer for FSB or early report times, defined cap on contingent reserve, etc are significant changes. People can decide if the changes in the total package meet their needs and vote accordingly.

Go to UA. You’re wife won’t get mad at you when you are making 300K based in mco. It will also give you the chance to get back to the global flying.
Yes, you maybe on the street in few years but I don’t want you to regret anything five years from now as a junior MCO captain for wn.

I’m a 15 yr wn Captain in DAL. About 80% in base. I would love the opportunity to fly big planes to Asia, but no way would I apply to AA or any legacies now. I’m not miserable enough and I am not hungry enough for the big planes. All the reasons you mentioned why you would stay, are my reasons to stay at wn.
