I don't think it will pass the Mec. I think they are going to kick it back to tweak 3 or 4 items. I see 4 no votes just based on political climber types alone and all it would take is a few more bases to sour on the deal. If it happens to pass the MEC I think it will pass 65-35.
By the time the newhire assigned a captain slot got out of training, flew 350 hrs in the right seat, goes through full course upgrade training, and then flies 100 hrs of Captain ioe almost everyone would be ready. A lot of airlines have first year upgrades without 100 hrs of ioe and I don't see check airman here signing someone off who isn't ready. I don't love it but I think it is a lot to do about nothing in the grand scheme of things. Throwing LTD people that are already out under the bus, 95 hr cap with a sick call, reduced premium pay for senior FO's... all rub me wrong. I am a soft yes but still working through it.

The schedule in LOA23-01 says that they can't start training until August 2024. It does not say that the positions can't show up in a drop until August 2024. Big difference. There needs to be more clarification on this as the language in the implementation schedule is vague.

100% of the people applying to United (pilots still have the freedom of going to Delta or AA if they don't want to risk getting "forced to upgrade") in the Fall of '24 will be FULLY aware and accepting of the fact they may get "forced" and if that is an issue for them, they will simply not apply here.

I'm a YES.
I have voted no on about 50% of the contracts including the mid-term wage agreement, which passed 87% yes. Many of my friends who routinely vote no tell me they are all YES.
Its a great contract. Not perfect, but its great. Much better than current book.

That's dizzying. Bolds are mine. I compute what you wrote to mean that it's really just good enough for you. Which is ok to say.

The vast majority of the no voters are only voting that way because they know it will pass with flying colors. They want to be able to smugly tell people they voted no, for whatever nonsense reason they have. If it was down to the wire and they knew their vote would make a difference, they would vote yes. It’s like voting for a 3rd party candidate when you live in Texas or California. They will spend the next 5 years telling everyone they meet that they voted no.
Even that psychopath SW and her anti-vax jugheads are unhappy with the TA.
