Would you need to upgrade from narrowbody first officer to narrowbody captain before moving to widebody first officer?

Thanks!
5-90 days for award? 6-9 months until activation IF you don’t get it day #1. It’s doubtful the new AIP/TA will change that, The reserve improvements aren’t that good.

I was awarded it as a new hire. Recently there has been a huge amount of overstaffing that has occurred on the WBs and the company is letting it naturally slim down. Unless you live in base, I would avoid it. If you live in a WB base that you can hold, should be a matter of vacancy bids.

Not true. As of NOW, bunky lines around 1 year depending on base.

Yup. Only for a few more months though. Lots of more senior people came in on the last few vacancies. It’ll probably be around 1.5 years. SFO 787 G line will be around 2 years in a few months.

It’s established monthly and published as the last employee number that is guaranteed a line for a given fleet/base. Basically the delineator between lineholders and reserves.

May even revert to more historical norms, although probably not in SFO.
