Miami alone has double the population of Orlando. I’ve never understood Orlando besides Disney. If you’re going to visit Florida it’s for the water. Also the biggest constraints are gate space. PBI/FLL/MIA are mostly maxed out.

All the Jersey shore types who told me I was stupid to commute to EWR from Florida should be having a field day with all the PPU, and now I drive to work so it seems like a win all the way around. But for some reason I keep seeing NYC 737 bidding MCO on every vacancy?? Strange

I think the mco base is a great idea but you can't drastically shrink ewr 737 and then wonder why no one is around to pick up premium pay trips. The ewr chaos isn't new and isn't going away so how do you get bodies up there? Money or convenience via positive space commuting. They are already doing 90 hr lines, abusing captain reserves, and ruining good pairings with boston/rdu/atl turns on either end of an otherwise desirable trip which is making their staffing situation worse as everyone flees. The stick isn't working.
