The truth is 94% of us said “no, you MUST do better”.
Unionists forged ahead to remove incompetence, avoid racism, and be very clear about what a successful agreement would look like.
Soon we’ll see the actual language and have to decide if it it meets our requirements. If it does, what does the future look like for ALPA? What does unity look like?
There needs to be deep dive to examine how an MEC went so far off the rails. More importantly, we need to understand how such a disconnect existed between the MEC and membership.
That should have never happened and it’s up to each of us to NEVER let it happen again.
Those pilots who failed us should wear the scarlet letters they deserve, but I hope the more effective lesson is line pilots must stay engaged, not just when we’re negotiating.

The house was cleaned up and people are more engaged. Honestly, the system worked as designed.
Only part of your post I agree with it is people need to stay engaged.
