The app hasn't let me list for any non-rev or UA Discount flights for several months...doesn't even give the option of Trip type😔 (attached a screenshot of what the screen looks like when I select "book flight"...)

I had to re-login after one of the recent app updates; are you not logged in? (Probably a stupid question.)

you need to logon to employeeRes and add your mileage plus number into your profile. Once that’s done logout from the United app and then log back in… it should resolve the problem.

Using a web browser is super flaky. Use the App for myuadiscount. We’ve used the app for myuadiscount fares quite a bit in the past year and had generally good luck. Never had an issue with booking thru the app, actually. Always worked for us.

This is the correct answer. I had the same issue for a couple months until a CA suggested I re-login to the app (via a button somewhere in the settings menu). Fixed it instantly.

Right, it works for me, but my wife is traveling without me. Her app does not offer my UA discount. Is there some way to enable that in her app?

no… only the employee’s mileage plus number and app for purchase will work. She would have to use your mileage plus to book the discount and then add her mileage plus number after it’s ticketed so it shows on her app (mileage plus account).

cannot use the app - only the website

make sure you clear all cookies. If you ever use the regular ual.com site it will redirect you to that one with no discounts
