Default 171 Proxies

Working on the 7th & looking for someone to proxy vote on these age 67 resolutions. (I’m against 67 if it needs to be said.)

I’m also looking for a proxy to vote NO on those resolutions.

I don’t know that the consequences are going to go much further than to make our council the subject of much eye rolling, but I have a feeling they’re going to pack that meeting like an AARP convention & get a big yes vote.

All the above happened in Council 34.

Impassioned debate on both sides, lots of proxies. In favor of age 67 went down by about 2/3, in favor of keeping 65 approved by about the same margin.

No idea how it might go in other councils. Good luck!

I’m sure the scabs and other self-serving pilots who only care about themselves will be out in full force. Too bad it will die at the MEC level.

most LECs will vote against the increase to 67
and our MEC should do what majority wants

When are you planning on retiring, 60 or 65?

As soon as possible. No way I want to be here when I’m 65.

But this is about money, plain and simple. Scabs who have spent their careers doing whatever it takes to get ahead are now throwing a Hail Mary to try and keep ahead. It’s the slow creep. 67 will turn to 70, then to 75. A scab knows no limits when it comes to just far they’ll go to get theirs.

Comical….by far and large the most vocal pro 67 I’ve flown with are legacy United pilots. Tissue? And before you assume anything, I’m leaving at 60 and am legacy UAL.
