True… missed that nugget on the older NC updates. 1 flight should be sufficient… but it will hit the wallet if Pilot misses the trip… and add an extra burden for SC reserves in base who’d have to cover. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

Good point about changes in the commuter policy affecting reserves. If we do go to a one flight commuter policy, will we also be ok with increased SC or FSB reserve staffing in commuter heavy bases? Will most people still use a backup flight to avoid the loss of pay for a missed trip, or will they just use the one flight and accept the trip loss when they don’t make it? Should be interesting to see the final language and how one clause affects another.

It’s the price we pay for living where we want and someone has to fly the early departures and late arrivals. I’m all for improvements, but we also need to be realistic.
No. No, I don’t think I will be realistic here. They could also fix the commuting issue by paying a cola for places with stupid tax rates or unobtainium priced housing. Not fully offsetting those costs, just defraying them. I’m straying into crap already covered though.

Mostly I just want a contract so I can future plan.

Yeah, I can’t tell if they just gave up or it’s omitted. There are a lot of things that just vanished off the May 22nd position report. Would have been good for me.

At the top of the position report, it does mention that the list isn't comprehensive of everything they are negotiating. Hopefully the items that were left off are still being worked on or agreed to, just not listed for brevity....Hopefully.

No kidding! anyone else notice the similarity between the domiciles/cities listed above? So these cities don’t need COLA but domiciles/cities like ORD, DEN, SFO, LAX and EWR do? hmm…
