Unfortunately some here believe unless you get “full retro” you’ve abandoned retro. My personal opinion is that we shouldn’t get retro for the two years that the tax payers were paying our salaries. I believe it’s myopic and could have serious consequences regarding PR.

If we had a contract in 2019, then those wages would have been paid at the newer rates. And the company is ultimately paying a fair chunk of the 2020-2021 salaries with loans. With retro now for 2020-2021, the company is ultimately paying for those newer rates, not the government. No PR problem.

It’s kind of like watching all of the news channels fighting to be the first one to call election results. It’s done when the MEC tells us it’s done, until then people can just APC on. The claims of inside sources and pure speculation is always entertaining.
