I got to enjoy the PSC at Delta for a short while, many liked it and miss it. We also acknowledged at the time that we wouldn't want to give up serious gains elsewhere in order to keep it, given the company's high value placed on the policy.
That being said, it was embarrassing there and now here to watch grown men whine about feeling left out should the policy change and moan about wanting their own positive space tickets to use at their leisure. Teamsters (not talking about the pilots) is in negotiations with UPS so their delivery trucks get air conditioning given all the heat. Could you imagine being a union member working somewhere cooler and complaining an item that will improve the lives of thousands of your union brothers and sisters should not be implemented solely on the basis that it will not benefit you directly in this moment in time?

Let me have it. I already said it's fine if you believe that the value placed on a policy is too high, but there were people claiming they were willing to torpedo a deal if positive space commuting was brought in without some positive space tickets for those who live in base. Well then in that case living in base is a choice!

We ALL get PS to TK every time we have to go, and Denver flights still seem to make revenue for the company. A reasonable compromise would be for ONE WAY PS commutes. Commuters could list from their home of record to their domicile…and it has to be associated with a documentable flight or reserve assignment (abuse of this would be a major disciplinary action). You’d be on your own when it comes to getting home. That alone would reduce fatigue by a significant factor. The two-flight policy encourages fatigued flying….period. There should also be some sort of adjustment for the policy as it pertains to pay. Maybe a 2.5 hour per day that comes from your sick bank.
