I was told the only enhancement will be to purchases a higher discounted myua ticket then we will only need one flight, otherwise we still need 2 flights. I think we are the only ones that need 2 flights. Also, there will be some hotels provided for early shows.

The final language here is going to be VERY important. What did we concede for more reserve days off? Lower guarantee? Only X % of reserves can bid for more days off line (think non-profile reserve). I love the idea of more days off on reserve. Being on the hook 18 days a month for 73 hours of pay is a joke and industry lagging, I'm just afraid of what we gave up to get it.

southwest guarantee is 15 days off on reserve, so maybe catching up a little. The other note stated the credit per day increased , you would therefore need less days to make same credit. I think this is great, will help upgrades along with penalizing rolling and short call abuse.

language very important for sure

it’s in the position report. Raise reserve min pay per day. For example Same 73hrs just 2 extra days off so a reserve day would pay 4.5 vs 4 like it does today (actual number 4 hr 32 min per day vs the current 4 hr 3 min a day)

Im guessing it’ll be one more day, I’d love 4.5 a day but then your ending close to what a trip pays so idk if they’d do that. Hope they did tho!

So IMHO they already are getting their pay offset.
That’s a fair counter but is a position based on possibility for progression vs actual $$ in the bank. This situation for progression opportunity already exists and it doesn’t seem to be a solution but it does seem to be a rite of passage.

Besides, UA already uses PS to their benefit, like when they can't predict the weather and a base shiittes the bed.

Later Reserve start time helps all pilots. Lets assume 12 start/12 release last day. Potential for more premium, both reserve and LH, assuming Add Pay is available for Reserve to take assignments before 12 in new deal. Commuters get more time, locals get more access to premium. I think that covers everyone.
So nauseating with the PP pitch. It doesn't increase any PP opportunities when they have enough reserves for each day. They'll build early SCs for those that are not on their first day of reserve. Positive space is never going to happen. It takes too many revenue seats out of the picture and last i heard, our salaries are based on RSM. Commuting is a choice to live wherever you want. Pay the in-base guys an additional 3K/month and it might start being fair, but that's never going to happen, ever. So enough with the nonsense.

This feels like a reach. As a local guy, I’d stay NB in base over commuting to WB even with PS commuting, & I think many would agree with me. I’m just not willing to waste that much time on it. If you want PS that’s fine, but don't pretend it’s an equal benefit for all- it’s definitely for commuters.

I don’t understand the logic of assuming commuters want more time off, but local guys should be content with a chance to work more & pad the paycheck. If the commuters want more time at home, why wouldn’t local guys want the same? More days off covers more people equally- whether you spend them with your family, making extra money, or commuting to & from work. Makes sense to me…

Yup. If I wanted to commute I’d commute. UA discount to cover an entire month of flying is like $7200 a year; a fraction of the extra I’d make going to a WB line in a coastal city. I just simply don’t want to waste months of my life getting up early, sitting in traffic, sitting in the back of 1-2 airplanes, sitting in an airport, then doing it all again in reverse 4 days later. PS doesn’t move the needle at all for me. I want more days at home, which is why I chose not to commute.
