I don’t want the guy removed; I think he’s smart and has a good sense for what makes an airline efficient and profitable. But what I have seen is a pattern of missed opportunities to connect with the employees and customers, either due to him being tone-deaf, or having a staff that’s unable to be pragmatic or get their finger on the pulse. 3 anecdotes:
1. Repealed on time bonuses for employees, and attempted to replace it with some lottery system. Our rates have never been as good since.
2. Failed to deliver an AIP after early openers and lots of optimism, which could have bought enormous goodwill from the pilot group well before trying to force it through PPD.
3. Missed an opportunity last week to demonstrate the “C”aring motto he so ardently espouses when he could have spent 2-3 hours in front of his customers with sleeves rolled up making his own podium announcements and thanking his employees for their hard work in a difficult time before taking his private jet back to Willis/Dallas/Beaver Creek. It would have cost literally nothing.
He is a numbers guy, not a people guy. I trust him to run an airline, but he needs to get some people around him that know how to lead if he wants to make this airline a quality product.

He doesn’t get paid to fly airplanes, he gets paid to run our airline, and honestly there are a couple exceptions but he’s actually doing a decent job. I wish him the absolute best of success in that duty, and so should all of us.
We all want an industry leading contract, dragging the ceo is about as 6th grade as it gets.

Forced vaccinations or you are fired
Worst operational performance in the industry
No CBA
Constant emphasis on identity politics instead of operational and safety concerns
