how long would a NH be on reserve on 757, 787 or 777 in EWR?

I hope not. Besides FAR 117, this is one of the main reasons that there are quite a few NB pilots that make more than our WB pilots, there is hardly any open time let alone premium in the WB classes unless there's a meltdown or weather event. Great for the company, bad for Global reserves QOL and life planning, bad for WB lineholders that would voluntarily pick up that flying or trade it for another trip.

Thanks for good description of Global Reserve as it stands at United.
ORD 756 is a global fleet and as such is subject to global reserve rules. Can get 756 pretty fast, but I’d avoid it in ORD. There’s something like 114 FOs on it, and the only movement comes from people leaving it, so it will be very slow going on that fleet base combo

Can’t believe I forgot ORD as global. Ooops! But yes, it’s global.

Yup, think it’s mostly international too.

some 756 bases aren’t global like LAX and I believe SFO . If one pairing in package is international beyond Canada and Mexico I believe it’s a global fleet. I think 737 CLE is global for azures ha

My bad, the post was in a mod holding queue, didn't notice that it was in the UAL forum.

losing a day or two a month on average is terrible by any reasonable standard

Correct, but your exposure to getting rolled on RDO’s is only for that one global trip.

they roll far more often nowadays since there are a few 6 day trips (at least on the 787) out there and most peoples reserve blocks are 5 or less unless it’s beginning /month end overlap
