I think on reserve, global needs to go, especially with the bleed to narrowbody fleets.
No other US airline has this garbage.
If your argument is we have more WB than anyone else, I would argue.
1) In these fleets, WB pilots will generally pick up opentime, thus the flying will get filled, so it's just cost savings for when a weather event happens, at the cost of your QOL.
2) Premium pay will fix this
3) If we can't achieve this, we need a serious add pay for any time they roll days on global reserve. I'd say add pay of 6 hours minimum.
Alternatively, if they want this flexibility, instead of 100% wb reserves on global, why not ask guys to bid for this option, pay them 80 hrs on this type of line.
That way it incentivizes the local WB guys to bid this type of schedule while also limiting the flexibilty.
